Belfast: Coroner warns over cigarettes
Smokers have been urged by a Belfast coroner to exercise extreme caution when disposing of cigarette butts this Christmas.

Sutton: Underage cigarette sale costs £233 fine
A newsagent has been caught selling cigarettes to children in an under-cover operation to crack down on underage sales.
Trading standards officers from Sutton Council had teamed up with child volunteers to monitor the sale of age restricted goods to under-18s.Source: Sutton Guardian - 29 November 2011

USA: States could see substantial savings with tobacco control programs
States that have shifted funds away from tobacco control programs may be missing out on significant savings, according to a new study.
If these programs were funded at the levels recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), states could save 14-20 times more than the cost of implementing the programs
