The younger a person quits, the greater the benefit but stopping smoking is beneficial at any age. Many smokers think that smoking helps relieve stress but in fact ex-smokers are more likely to have better mental health and be happier.

Smoking is associated with more than 50 different diseases and disorders – many fatal. It has been known that smoking causes lung cancer since the 1950s. Half of all people who continue to smoke will be killed by it - losing an average of 10 years of life.
